A set of traits that match the typical effective leader. LMP is used to determine the effectiveness of a leader by applying the Achievement Motivation Theory (e.g. the need for achievement, power and affiliation)


Theory X & Theory Y

Theory X and Theory Y represent two opposing perceptions about follower and conclude the style of leadership depends on leader's perception of follower.

Theory X assume people are lazy and do not take responsibility. Autocratic leadership style is used.

Theory Y assume people are happy to work and punishment is not needed. Participative style is used.
